Once you are here, walking will be part of your daily routine. Both Physician and Hospital Staff Housing are very close to the school, post office, grocery store and library as well as the local restaurants.
The Bella Coola General Hospital has a small car we make available to staff to use to access community events outside of the townsite. Or, simply take a get-away drive up the valley to look at the scenery or go on a picnic.
Bella Coola - Accommodation
We’ll make every effort to ensure your housing requirements are looked after, whether you wish to live in United Church Health Services housing or in the community.
There is a variety of housing available. There are a number of houses for physicians very close to the hospital grounds, with everything you might require for a short or long term stay.
The Hospital Staff Housing consists of two bedroom apartments located in a building complex adjacent to the hospital. The apartments are fully and comfortably furnished. Satellite TV, telephone and internet are provided as well as weekly garbage pickup.
For difficult-to-fill long term positions, we provide housing until housing can be secured in the community. This can be up to one year if required.
