Leadership
Our values are the foundation of our approach to leadership. They are the base from which we strive to build meaningful relationships with our staff, supporters, partners, and most of all, the British Columbian communities we serve.
Our values are health and wellness, respect, integrity, trust, spirituality, stewardship and excellence.
We try to bring these values to life in our governance model. In each community we serve, Bella Coola, Hazelton and Bella Bella, a community board oversees operation and service delivery. The Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff in each community report to the local Board.
Two members of each local board sit on the Governing Board of the United Church Health Services Society, along with representatives of the United Church of Canada.
The Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director report to the United Church Health Services Governing Board. They provide leadership and supports to all of us as we strive to provide patient care that reflects our values.
